Nope! Real sorry about that. We're getting some resolution slowly but surely.
The company hosting for us has been having some hardcore technical difficulties for a little while now. We were down most of yesterday, but they've been improving and fixing the damages and we should be mostly good to go :)
I can't speak for the other moderators, but as the person who put this whole thing together, I felt I left the other server on amicable terms, and as far as I know I have not been banned from it. I don't have a problem with the other server in question, and I wish them luck. This was a project done because I wanted to try my hand at running my own server, and I felt I could provide an interesting alternative to some of the other RP servers out there.
I'm sorry if you've had a bad experience with one or more of our roleplayers on the server. If you had let me know who they were and what they had done, I assure you I would have done what I could to intervene or at least correct the behavior.
I don't like to think of myself as elitist and I want to encourage the type of whimsy in the roleplay that is inherent in the Starbound experience. I hope that this server can succeed at that. We may have some bumps along the road, but we hope to provide a smooth experience.
I want to wish you luck with your server! I noticed we're running similar settings, so we should get along finely I think.
Let me know if you'd like any assistance. I believe it's better to help other server owners so that our players can benefit, regardless of wherever they choose to play.
If you have any issues with players of my server, please let me know so I can do something about it.
While I can respect feelings of loyalty, there's no valid excuse to act out towards other servers and I don't support that kind of behavior.
You'll also discover the wonderful and increasingly frustrating world of administration where half the problems you have are left unsolved because nobody told you they existed. :)
