For those wishing to join the server (Don't).
All the remaining "Veterans" of the Starbound community ended up here. Unfortunately some of those remains are less than exemplary standards that the server attempts to claim to curate. Even in the server there are those in the server who conducted themselves poorly, such as Chancé, attempting to power game then using their position to prevent their character from losing and even engaging in ERP on server despite there being no mentions of it being an 18+ Server on their page.
Brimmstone is fortunately has a less problematic history, merely throwing tantrums to get their way and threatening to stop building or even destroying their builds when they weren't allowed to do as they please, along with generally bullying with their former partner Clockwyrk. Bring up a name of a "Veteran" inside of their circle and I could probably bring up several of their actions. Because this is where all those people went, rejected or kicked from previous servers because their behavior was disgusting or bordered on harassment or bullying. Of course those same friends would claim these people have changed, but you'd realize all they've done is attempt to block out their history.
Tl;dr Most of the shitty people ended up here, everyone else is just trying to cling to the medium because just about everywhere else is dead.

I invite you to reflect on that which has soured your experience enough to write this, and to iterate on what's been accomplished here. Don't just vent and stay complacent, go ahead and do better.
Amusing proposition, but what few accomplishments made do little to assuage what they've done, especially in your last "Season".
You can deny the accomplishment that is getting a community together all you want, but you won't learn anything from it and so you'll only be able to whine all day. When was the last time you have seen playercounts this high on a server? What did they do to get them this high and retain them? How can you replicate this and make a better server? You can put words in quotations all day in response to me, but this isn't even a battle over social domination the way you may view it. I genuinely don't care where you're coming from and I'll forget you two hours from now, but I am offering you to act on it in a way that will actually benefit somebody. This server isn't even open for people to just hop on. They'll only see this thread after getting invited to it. You aren't meaningfully changing anything by complaining here.
Honestly responding would be rather beneath you if that was the case, especially with the attempt to act like you hold moral superiority. I've personally moved on from starbound, too many bad actors and my current pursuits don't generally involve me sitting on shit mountain and telling someone to do better.
What would even be the point? Draw you folks in? Provide for the circle jerk and get exasperated with their antics? That's been the circle since 2016. No thanks. Hell the story isn't even all that well written, bar RP is the same as it ever was. You aren't doing anything innovative or special, which is probably why it had to cover so many settings.
As for the seasons thing, my bad. We can use chapter if it lessens the aggressive feel.
P.S Yeah, probably was kinda' sad to check in and then write this. But offer for your new folks still stands, would also definitely include the 18+ thing, wouldn't want the minors getting the wrong idea.

I guess I'd say as bait this would be working out fine. But I wouldn't get it twisted, I've never been banned from a single server aside from maybe pissing off one admin for calling them stupid? Not like that narrows it down for you.
Hell, think I know a handful of folks in server still so I could even join. Maybe that'll narrow it down further but deductive reasoning doesn't seem to be your strong suit.

I feel sorry you should lack reading comprehension as someone who is (was) supposedly involved in roleplay. You genuinely need ChatGPT to explain what I'm writing. I am not slighting you right now, you should genuinely consult with it.
Main point, this is the most active server despite being invite-only. There are a handful of reasons why. If you truly reach an understanding of what they are, then maybe your server won't fail again.
I will keep saying this, because even if you're trying to lead me astray with how you phrase yourself, even if you were really mean to me for no reason at all, I can't deny that it would be very nice if there were several big active Starbound servers, so the people who don't find themselves in one place can find themselves in another.
Starbound offers a lot as a roleplaying platform.

Also never understood why people believed attempted to throw underhanded insults made them appear clever. Hell, you're putting more effort into this post then Brimm did with the first season of the story. I mean honestly, with such brilliant writing. "Your brain thinking in colors" as they observe such a fantastical device.
As for running a server, never bothered I guess. Kind of comes down to the veterans that are left to appeal to. There are new faces of course, friends of friends. But how many of them really want to interact with titans of description of "Lifts their tail to thrus--" Well, that ones a little lewd for starbound-servers forum.
Same as it ever was, someone decided to make a new server and because they can't do it anywhere else they flock to whatever the newest thing might be with those same friends. Just as I'm sure that it's riveting two factions "Clash" every now and then with ultimately nothing happening. But hey, applause for the effort.
And yeah, I'm being super mean but it is a little weird to accuse me of needing ChatGPT, as mentioned above some of your creative "Team" really needed it for ideas when they aren't just ripping from their favorite media and even then making it extremely bland through a combination of incompetence and favoritism.

This is not an insult. You are failing to understand basically everything I'm saying while using loud words to build massive constructs that you can't effectively wield to convey your thoughts. These constructs consume you, and so you go on massive tangents where you are just insulting the people who have sacrificed a massive amount of time and effort trying to create something they love and to share it with others.
Sure, sometimes they make unpopular choices born from hubris or lack of foresight. But to think that telling everyone how bad a person is to form a public opinion may be some kind of a virtue is incredibly short-sighted. SBRP has been in stagnation for years, how else are we supposed to get experienced community members? Art and life in general are processes of constant learning and self-evaluation. You're completely ignorant of that.

Popular choices as engaging in the bullying of individuals from previous servers, which has included harassment when these people you hold in such high-esteem didn't get their way and blindly supporting each other because let's face facts, it's always been a circle jerk. Hell, you have folks there now who will admit that's happened. People like Morphine who co-own/own servers witnessed this behavior but few people ever complain because there really isn't an alternative or they're just part of that circle. Hell, you have a handful of people there who would put me to shame if this is what passes as manipulation.
Because people have hardly grown or bettered themselves, there wasn't any come to Jesus moment for any of them to pursue some sacred call to actions for the betterment of Starbound RP. It's like you said, nobody had anywhere else to go and they have to accept what's given to them because nobody else really wants to bother because the stagnation started at this point a decade ago most of which that came from terrible owners. As far as their sacrifice, it doesn't amount to much because the same people will use it to hold a gun to your head to get what they want. But as we already reiterated, this isn't doing anything. And you really shouldn't feel the need to reply here at all if all I'm doing is flailing in the void about whatever problem you think I might actually have with the server. You want to moral grand stand while attempting to condescend me for fact, even if I'm only bringing up to attack the integrity of a server, its staff and "veterans".
