Description

Voyager Roleplay : A Starbound Roleplaying Experience.

Voyager is a new Roleplaying Server, hoping to provide a comfortable RP experience to both new and old members of the sadly dwindling RP community. We have no mods, so please be aware if you attempt to join the server with mods that they are not compatible and will crash the server, subsequently ruining the experience for other players.

But what makes Voyager different?

What makes Voyager Roleplay different from other RP servers is that it's learned from their mistakes.
For better and for worse, many Roleplay servers have gone down or become entirely inactive due to actions done both on behalf of dissatisfied communities and administration teams that make decisions (Later to become mistakes) that leave irreparable damage. Voyager however, is working toward having a contingency plan for each and every one of these inevitable issues, and the ones that can be stopped as well.

Voyager is a Starbound Server ran by active Roleplayers who have been on many other servers in the past, many of which have seen those same servers fall apart as well. No-one in an administrative position is a 'backseat mod' who does nothing on the server yet holds a position, and no-one is let on the staff team who is not qualified, regardless of being friends with server owners and those in higher staff positions.

Voyager is meant to bring something a little special to the table; A casual-yet-semi-serious environment, to suit both New Players and old. Players build hubs and in-game events both Staff-ran and Player-ran can directly influence changes made to these hubs.

Voyager is an ambitious project. Community ran, and held together by that very same community. Even those not in staff positions hold power in the decisions that are made through votes. Yes, that's correct. Never will you have to see a staff member say "this was never a democrocy" (Yes, that's how it was spelled before.)
Unlike most other servers, Voyager isn't built on Spite! It's much like original Starbound RP servers in the fact that it was simply made for the RP community to have a place to RP. And so far, this goal has been accomplished with minimal hindrance. There have been ups and downs in the few days since it was launched, but all have been sort out, and the future for the server is looking bright. (That is, if Chucklefish can fix this apparent Multiplayer memory leak issue...)

No Drama, No Backseat Mods, No Shotgun-bans, No "Staff Dictators".

Voyager Roleplay. "Sic Semper Tyrannis!"
